rpm based systems typically have the concept of Groups.  Groups will
group various packages of similar theme/functionality together, and
allow a user to take some, all, or none of that group.

Removals are more difficult as often package dep chains are intertwined,
and a package being in Group A doesn't preclude it from being in Group
B, so group removing A won't remove everything in A or else you'd be
very unhappy.
