I am not sure about the benefits. Most times people want to build from
source because a software is not available in any repository at all or
not in the wished version.
In both cases using the existing information of already enabled source
repositories would not provide the required build dependencies. Either
they would not be available at all or outdated - once again requiring an
additional check of the user.
The other use case of an user patching a package and so having to
rebuild the package seems to be a bit out of scope for PackageKit.
