Cool! Well, the first thing to read are the webpages at
http://www.packagekit.org/, with especial regard to "Typical User
Profiles" -- it's important to know who we're aiming this software at.
When you're comfortable with how it works superficially, there's the
reference manual at http://www.packagekit.org/gtk-doc/ which tells you
how it all works internally.

We're a friendly bunch, and we tend to hang out in #PackageKit on
freenode. My nickname is hughsie, so if you have any questions or
concerns, ping me and I'll do my best to help.

If you have any idea about how you would like to help the project
(finding and fixing bugs, adding functionality, adding self checks,
writing documentation, etc) then please just suggest something on the
mailing list.
