[packagekit] update cache on packagekit-gnome

Well, you see: long story short:

I'm trying to leave Synaptic behind, but SoftwarePropertiesGtk depends
on Synaptic for updating the cache, so i would like to modify
SoftwarePropertiesGtk to something else instead. I thought of using
'pkcon refresh' or 'apt-get update', but there would be no feedback to
the user (in a graphical way, if you know what I mean).

I'm thinking on maybe programming a small app only in charge of
refreshing the package list that would only be invoked in this case.

Best regards,

D.H. Bahr

No, but you can use the command line:

pkcon refresh

Is there any reason you want to manually refresh the cache?

Richard.
