[packagekit] [RFC] Python 2.x and 3.x support

Hi,
I would like to start working on porting the PackageKit Python lib to
Python3, keeping Python2 compatibility.
This would require at least Python 2.6 (but preferred would be 2.7) as
minimum Python2 version (configure.ac involved).
I would like to have some fixes backported to PK 0.6.x branch, if
that's not too much.
