We have one! it's just very limited (it only tests status relationships) and 
is written in (the terrible, horrible, no good, awful) unittest framework. I'm 
planning to convert it to something else (tenatively nose) and then expand it. 
Have a look in framework/tests and at piglit-framework-tests.py
