Getting patches looked at

Hiya,

I'd noticed a couple of possible improvements that could be made to 
pkg-config, and filed reports in bugzilla with patches ([1][2]), but I 
was wondering if there's anything more I need to do in order to get them 
at least looked at by a few more eyes, if not committed to the main tree.

1) https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8788 - fixing lack of 
full recursion for CFLAGS with requires.private
2) https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8836 - adding a minimum 
pkg-config version requirement field to .pc files (especially for things 
like bug #8788)
