pkg-config and glib

| I tried to install glib but system answered that I need pkg-config
| When I tried to install pkg-config in 'make' system has told:
| Stop in /usr/home/distr/pkg-config-0.19/glib-1.2.8/gthread
| *** Error code 1

It probably gave an error message further up than this.  I need that
error message to be able to help you.
