Problem with pkgconfig on Mac

P. Tenny:

Might I suggest using Fink?  I don't think that DawinPorts is maintained any more (I may be incorrect, but it was not the last time I checked.)

I've had no problems with Fink other than the fact that the base products for GTK ad GTK+ were not creating .pc files (and they should not as they do not create the development libraries).
