[RFC] Use glib-2.0 exclusively

Nobody seems to have screamed about the idea of dropping the bundled
glib.

Can people please test
http://err.no/tmp/0001-Stop-shipping-an-embedded-glib.patch and tell me
if it is problematic for anybody?  If not, I'll apply it in the next few
days, and also cut a release fairly soon.
