Implementing pkg-config in Eclipse IDE "

Could I ask for help implementing pkg-config  in Eclipse IDE ? I am adding
'pkg-config...`
as options to GCC  compiler / linker , however it looks as Eclipse make is
not "getting it ".
I get what appears to be the correct verbose output . For example do not
see any of added includes  in Eclipse "project" folder.
