broke plymouth ? (ubuntu natty long blanck screen before plymouth)

hello,

i'm using ubuntu natty, and i think -- but i'm not sure -- i broke my 
plymouth startup :

i played with new theme and get back to the original ubuntu logo

anyhoo, now what i have is a long long blank screen and then a super 
quick plymouth theme (instead of having the plymouth theme from the 
begining)

since i made a lot of thing on this ubuntu it may be totaly unrelated

but since it bother me, i'm asking :

does a similar issue have been reported, is there a fix ?
