custmoization of bootlog screen.

Hi Team ,

I am working on some custom boot screen setup.
Basically, in normal setup-- on pressing 'ESC' key  terminal is shown with
with boot messages( complete screen )

I would like customize the boot log messages screen. I mean,

1. Half of the screen should be a image and half of the screen should be
used for
   displaying boot messages.

Anyone have tried this before or any idea on how to achieve this?
