From dgerdes at vertexant.de Tue Sep 19 09:59:43 2017 From: dgerdes at vertexant.de (Gerdes, Dirk) Date: Tue, 19 Sep 2017 11:59:43 +0200 Subject: starting Framebuffer application after booting instead of X Message-ID: <001401d3312e$08a760c0$19f62240$@vertexant.de> I have a working Debian (Jessie) system which starts a Framebuffer-application after booting. Therefore I modified /etc/inittab to respawn my start script in Run-Level 3. In this Runlevel no getty is started. At the moment that works fine, but I want to suppress the boot-messages. I found Plymouth to be a very elegant way to show boot-progress. I’m looking for a way to switch back to “normal display mode” after Plymouth ends. Is there any way to achieve this?
