starting Framebuffer application after booting instead of X

I am not sure if my recent post was working. I hope not to annoy anybody by
resending:
I have a working Debian (Jessie) system which starts a
Framebuffer-application after booting.
Therefore I modified /etc/inittab to respawn my start script in Run-Level 3.
In this Runlevel no getty is started.
At the moment that works fine, but I want to suppress the boot-messages. I
found Plymouth to be a very elegant way to show boot-progress.
I'm looking for a way to switch back to "normal display mode" after Plymouth
ends.
Is there any way to achieve this?
Kind Regards,
Dirk
