Dear Developers,

I have MXlinux installed on a couple of old computers. One a
stand-alone 2016 64 bit system (offline - has no modem cards) and
the other multi-booted Lenovo T410 with Mint, Windows 7 and
MXlinux on it, wi-fi is off. Neither will shutdown properly. My
very amateur attempts to find the problem suggest that the error;

"Could not acquire 'org.freedesktop.ModemManager1' service name"

is related. MX Wiki seems to suggest freedesktop is only used for
startup screens. So can I delete it
somehow?

I have a LOG folder but it is 6M so too big to send and I cannot
find which part might be relevant.
