But then we should yell loudly in logs etc. if we find such a nonstandard
location. And write into some documentation, that distributions are required
to install in /usr. Otherwise support issues will be - ahem - ugly.

Yes, i am unpleasant here, because i have seen too much trouble because of
such "good" ideas.
