Individual letters run in each other as evidenced by the attached screenshot

System is:
- Fedora Devel x86_64
- evince-0.5.4-2
- poppler-0.5.3-1.1
- pango-1.13.3-1.1
- fontconfig-2.3.95-5
- freetype-2.2.1-2.1
- dejavu-fonts-2.8.0-1.fc6 as default fonts
