Summary: Poppler rendering of PDF with large images is a lot
                    slower than Acrobat Reader
           Product: poppler
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: x86 (IA32)
        OS/Version: Linux (All)
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: qt4 frontend
        AssignedTo: poppler-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
        ReportedBy: richard.vdboom at gmail.com

Hi!
I'm using Okular to view PDFs on a KDE4, Slackware-current system. My poppler
version is not exactly the most recent (6.4) and it's compiled with gcc 4.2.3.
The same goes for Qt4 and KDE4.
Rendering works fine and looks very good (congratulations for this) but showing
all pages takes several minutes, while it's almost instantaneous using Acrobat
Reader on the same system.
These PDFs include large images with high resolution, but I don't see why it
would be such an issue.
Attached is one of the file : it's quite big (70MB).
Best regards,
