When using poppler master with Evince, selecting text with the mouse is really
slow, it takes nearly a second until the selection is updated (whereas it
wasn't noticeable before). With only a few words it's not noticeable but with
half a page it is.

It only occurs with master, not with poppler-0.10. I did a git bisect on it and
this was the commit that introduced the slowness:
