@Albert => CairoOutputDev doesn't have subpixel rendering yet, no, but there's
just no way to add subpixel rendering to Splash without redesigning significant
portions.  The Cairo backend is clearly the future, and when future
improvements are made to Poppler, it's through the Cairo backend that they'll
come.  If the Qt4 wrapper is unable to make use of the Cairo backend, Okular
will be forced to make do with a legacy engine as Evince enjoys the latest and
best.  And for what reason?
