Poppler has performance issues with the following PDF file:

On an AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200, the file takes 23 seconds to load in both Evince
and Okular and maxes out the CPU. On a laptop with a slower Core 2 Duo chip,
the same file loads in Adobe Reader in a little under a second.
