I've noticed that in Poppler 0.14, there are a lot more fonts that are not
subpixel-rendered with this patch.  In the 0.12 series, pdfTeX documents for
instance were subpixel-rendered fine, but not in 0.14.  Is this something that
could be addressed, or is there currently no way?

By the way, this is the exact patch I'm using to force subpixel-rendering:
