Summary: No support for PDF packages?
           Product: poppler
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: x86-64 (AMD64)
        OS/Version: Linux (All)
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: poppler-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
        ReportedBy: lee4hmz at gmail.com

I'm using epdfview 0.1.7-4 and libpoppler-glib4 0.12.4-1.2 on Debian squeeze,
and it does not seem to be able to view a PDF with multiple files attached (a
"PDF package"). Instead, I get a message saying I need Adobe Reader 8.0 or
better.

An example of a file using this is at
http://www.wmata.com/business/procurement_and_contracting/solicitations/uploads/RC7000%20Vol%202%20Tech%20Specs%201_30_09.pdf.
I can provide this as an attachment if needed.

Pdftk seems to understand what a package is, and was able to extract the
attachments. Once that was done, the attachments themselves were readable. I'm
wondering if there's some way this support could be brought into poppler
itself.
