When looking at this PDF with evince:
http://www.cvg.ethz.ch/teaching/2011fall/compvis/lecture/vision06b.pdf

many (but not all) of the images are somehow decoded wrongly and unviewable.
However, looking at the same PDF in acroread for linux, the images are shown
correctly (see attachements).
