BTW, it is slightly off-topic discussion, I have a concern about
base PDF/PS font availabilities in future Ghostscript package.
Ghostscript has a hook to embed fonts into its binary executable
or shared library (I remember making CPIO archive of the fonts
and put it in the binary), thus, it would be possible for Ghostscript
to work without the installation of the font files.

I think, Unix distributors won't rely on this hook, because there
are many software who want to use PostScript Type1 fonts and embedding
the font files to Ghostscript executable would be just an inflation
of the file size. But I'm not sure about how Windows packages would
be designed.
