input and output from pdfunite

Calling pdfunite on the attached pdf files results in corrupted or missing
text.  This happens on a large subset of our documents, not just the ones
attached.

This is a regression since poppler 0.20.1 where this bug does not exist.  In
the attached zip file is the given pdfs, and the output from 0.20.1 and 0.21.4.
 pdfunite was called like:

pdfunite *.pdf pdfunit-output-0.21.4.pdf
