The PDF linked from
http://citeseerx.ist.psu.edu/viewdoc/summary?doi=10.1.1.49.6336 is rendered as
in the attachment.  This is on current Debian unstable with libpoppler-glib8
version 0.18.4-2 and evince version 3.4.0-2+b1.
