Maintainer hat on: I think it'd be easier for all if you can use NSS (now that
gnutls has been ruled out because of lack of functionality).
https://wiki.mozilla.org/NSS_Shared_DB_And_LINUX states a way to use the shared
nss certificate, and seems that chrome is using that too
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/wiki/LinuxCertManagement so it is not that
"bad".
