Well, but we *should* define _FILE_OFFSET_BITS in poppler-config.h since
gtypes.h is installable to the system and as you well said it needs to have
_FILE_OFFSET_BITS defined before it is used (and i understand to the same value
as the one that was used to compile)

Now if you don't want to define _FILE_OFFSET_BIT in poppler-config.h not to
mess with other people's definition of _FILE_OFFSET_BIT it seems to me that 
the poppler_fseek/poppler_ftell and the definition of goffset as long long is
the best idea?
