Hi,

The "Programming from the ground up" PDF contains rendering errors in the form
of missing characters.

For example, on page 7, one sentence is rendered as "Your programs will be modi
 ed and updated". But selectiong and copying/pasting the line works correctly
so it's only a problem with rendering.

I believe this is a regression, but I haven't been able to confirm that yet.

I'm using Evince 3.12.1 and Poppler 0.26.3.
