When run with the following options, pdftoppm renders the attached .pdf
document incorrectly:

pdftoppm -scale-to-x 1536 -scale-to-y 2000 -png problem_final.pdf problem_final

The document has two 'M' characters, the only difference of which is font size:
the top one is 480, while the bottom one is 482. The bottom one renders
correctly, while the top one does not.
