Hi,
I guess that it a problem with the pdf source. I tried to open the attachment
in ghostscript. It actually showed the text, but at the same time wrote the
following errors to stdout:

   **** Warning: Tf refers to an unknown resource name: F1 Assuming it's a font
name.
   **** Warning: Tf refers to an unknown resource name: F2 Assuming it's a font
name.

   **** This file had errors that were repaired or ignored.
   **** The file was produced by: 
   **** >>>> Toolkit http://www.activepdf.com <<<<
   **** Please notify the author of the software that produced this
   **** file that it does not conform to Adobe's published PDF
   **** specification.

I will suggest that you report this to DHL and activepdf.
