PDF shown incomplete

The attached document is showing only for the first four pages, the pages from
5 to 16 are shown as blank.

Using:
Evince 3.14.2-0ubuntu2
poppler 0.30.0-0ubuntu1

Opening the document with evince from a terminal gives multiple instances of:

BAD status: invalid value (typically too big) for the size of the input
(surface, pattern, etc.)

Evince 3.10.3-0ubuntu10.1 with poppler 0.24.5-2ubuntu4.1 used to follow a pair
of the above messages with:

Internal Error: cairo context error: invalid value (typically too big) for the
size of the input (surface, pattern, etc.)<0a>
