plausible reduction of asserts triggered

assert in Annot::getRotation seen triggered in the wild
i.e. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1314595
and  http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=338061

perhaps it would be helpful to move the assert about pageobj to just the branch
where pageobj is used
