Bug ID: 103690
Summary: Illegible rendering with Type-3 fonts
Product: poppler
Version: unspecified
Hardware: Other
OS: All
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: general
Assignee: poppler-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
Reporter: gentoo at necoro.eu

Example PDF
For some pdfs, poppler renders illegible output: The fonts are rendered as very
bold. I guess this to be due to the Type3-fonts used, but this is really just a
guess.
I attached an example, and also three screenshots (poppler: bad; mupdf: ok;
masterpdfeditor: good). Acrobat under Windows also looks fine, but I don't have
a screenshot.
Viewer: zathura-0.3.7 with zathura-poppler-0.2.7
Poppler: 0.57.0
OS: Gentoo Linux
Note: Example is extracted from the original file using pdfseparate
