Most of the Pathfinder rule books take multiple seconds to render in poppler.
The "Iron Gods Player's Guide" is an example of such a case which can be
downloaded for free (

).

On my Machine, the 4th page of "Iron Gods Player's Guide" takes 5 seconds to
render. For comparison: MuPDF and Foxit render the page in less than a second.
