<pre>I think most users want to extract an image that renders pixel for pixel as it
does in the PDF, which it doesn't with missing color profile.
As an easy to implement intermediate step I suggest to extract the metadata
separately.

001.xmp
Then users can inspect the metadata or patch it into the JPEG, if they want to.</pre>
