[poppler] poppler and ligatures

Hi there,

congratulations for your excellent work with poppler.

I don't know whether I should be subscribed (and post) to the list,
since I'm not a developer.

But I wanted to point to some issues in order to improve poppler (even
more ;-).

On the question about ligatures 
(https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2929 and sorry for the 
repetition), poppler should implement the ActualText value (as described 
in PDF Reference 1.6, p. 872).

I hope not being too insistent (I think that this issue is important and 
it hasn't got enought attention).
