It takes as long as it takes - there is a lot to do, but we have to do it 
properly. If you want it to go faster, please help out.

I don't think it is appropriate for your changes to go in first - as I wrote 
below, the merge is already hard enough. You can put in the glib only parts - 
that isn't going to complicate the merge.

I've also got stuff waiting for the merge - AES encryption and embedded 
documents support. I don't want to sound harsh, but your change doesn't seem 
so much more important than those.
