Hi,

I finally got CVS to dist check and with the latest fixes to make the 
qt4 wrapper work again I think we're ready for a 0.5.0 release.  From NEWS:

         - Font matching code for non embedded fonts now use fontconfig
           instead of hard coded list of fonts.
         - Merge in Xpdf 3.01 changes.
         - Add command line tools from Xpdf.
         - Make install of Xpdf header files ./configure'able.

The 0.5 releases are to be considered unstable releases, in particular, 
the fontconfig change will likely require some tweaking before it's ready.
