[poppler] Win32 portability

Opinions probably vary, but I would like to see portability maintained. Of 
course, the portability comes at some cost, and if the code becomes 
unmaintainable, then that isn't helping anyone. However for kpdf/okular, we 
do need win32 support for KDE4.
