[poppler] Some GlobalParams cleaning

Hi, this patch removes the need of globalparams to read xpdfrc, basically we 
were not using it for anything once krh commited the patch to find 
poppler-data encondings.

I've also removed some methods noone was using.

I noone says anything against i'll commit next sunday.
