Another great thing in git is that it distinguishes between author and
committer, so instead of messing up the log message with "patch by",
"fixes by" and so on, we can just specify the real author of the changes
when committing. 

$ git commit -a --author "name <mail>"

It doesn't need to be a user in the repo. Look at this commit, for
example:

As a free software researcher I love this feature even more ;-)
