[poppler] How to add functionality to Poppler

Hi everyone,

I have written a function to get the PDF ID in the trailer dictionary, if it
doesnot exist, I generated a new ID and set it, and retrieve from there.
How can I add these functions in the Poppler, so that in every release I can
have access to those functions. To whom I have to inform about this. OR is
poppler providing already what I want.
Please help me out as early as possible.
