[poppler] Metadata Streams parsing

Dear Poppler developers,

pdfinfo has a shared library dependency on libexpat.so. However, I can't find libexpat's calls of XML_*() in the poppler-0.20.5/ source code tree. How and where libexpat is used, for example, to parse Medadata Stream if this kind of metadata exists in a pdf file?
