[poppler] Extra space after a bold letter in document's text

Hey there,
When I printed the text of some pages of a PDF I noticed that there
exists an extra space after certain bold letters of a word. The word
in question was "FIGURE 1.1", where the "F" was bold and a bit larger
than the rest. I loaded the same PDF into Evince and then selected the
text and copy-pasted it to a text editor and found out that Evince too
has this bug. Then I gave the same PDF to Adobe reader and everything
was fine and I found no extra spaces.
Why this happens?
