[poppler] Need help: Bad rendering on poppler based viewers

Hi,
I have a problem with certain fonts in PDFs.
They are very ugly on poppler based browsers (evince, okular),
but look normal on others (mupdf, zathura).

My system is Arch and tried so far to change various font params - but without luck.
Help highly appreciated!
