Similar to bug #8158 adding fall-through run-mailcap support, I'd propose
adding support to use perl MimeInfo (see
http://search.cpan.org/dist/File-MimeInfo/).  In particular, to use it's
'mimeopen' tool (http://search.cpan.org/dist/File-MimeInfo/mimeopen).

Proposed patch forthcoming.
