[Portland] Wherefrom to begin ?

Hi,

I was attempting to go through the wiki in order to begin a reading that
would enable comprehension of what Portland is about and aims to do -
the wiki however is sparsely documented and not well structured. So
where do I begin ?

Any pointers would be appreciated. Additionally, given my feedback on
the wiki if the project is looking for volunteers then I will be game :)
